University of StirlingDo you identify as neuro divergent and would like to learn more about managing stress? Neurodivergent people experience more breathing related conditions, e.g. asthma, compared to the general population, and tend to struggle to cope with stress.The aim of this research is to understand if VR can be a helpful tool to improve diaphragmatic breathing and reduce stress.
Who can take part?
• 18+ years old – or 17 if enrolled at University of Stirling.
• Formal diagnosis or identify as neurodiverse e.g. autism, ADHD, Tourette’s Syndrome, dyslexia, etc.
What the research will involve
Recruitment will take place between March and June 2024.
• Total duration: 1h 30 mins.
Complete an on-line questionnaire and attend a session in-person involving use of VR at the University, follwed by a questionnaire online one week after.
