Volunteer

We depend on the dedication of volunteers. Whether fundraising or running training events, it’s people who make us what we are.

Your experience

According to a recent TimeBank survey, three quarters of employers prefer candidates with volunteering experience. Dyslexia Scotland offers a wide range of opportunities for volunteers.

Choose a position running one of our branches, or gain experience updating our website. Whatever you decide, you’ll be helping to improve the lives of people with dyslexia across the country. In return, you can:

  • learn new skills
  • build your confidence
  • meet new people
  • challenge yourself

We’re always looking for people to become involved with our campaigns and for new members to help with our Strategic Plan sub groups.

These groups are involved at a top level – organising events, media advice, fundraising, policy development, publications and membership.

To explore the range of opportunities available simply get in touch with us direct, or contact your local branch.  See below for a copy of our Volunteering Policy.
